Foundation or applying a base is the main thing before doing a makeup. Foundation is one of the most important that makes you look better and enhance your make up, so be careful in applying the foundation whether it is liquid foundation or a powdered foundation.
The first step in applying a liquid foundation is matching your skin tone with liquid foundation. Select carefully the color of your foundation that is either the same to your skin tone or closely matches your skin tone. People mostly select the wrong foundation color because they are not testing it properly. Mostly we heard that test your make-up items inside your wrist because that color tone is nearest to your face color but it is totally wrong, inside color of wrist is always lighter than your face. The best way to check your foundation is test it on your face and tries to test it in the natural light, if possible, rather than fluorescent bulbs or glaring lights.
The second step is to find or selecting the proper applicators. It can be somehow difficult to find the right brush to apply a liquid foundation. As most of the time we see and we also use sponges or fingertips to absurd liquid foundation but this the wrong way. If you are comfortable with using fingertips then it is fine but do not use sponge to absorb liquid foundation. As sponges absorb liquid foundation more than necessary which is the wastage of foundation. To use the proper brushes is the best method to get a flawless application. Select the brush that have flat bristles, tapered tip, and will give you a flawless and airbrushed look.
The third step is to follow the application techniques. The application technique depends on your personal preference whether you prepare the liquid foundation onto the back side of your hand or in some metal plate it all depends on you. Start with applying it to the middle of your face, the point from where the side of your nose meets the cheek and then apply outward towards the ear. Blend it carefully and smoothly on that area before going to the upper and lower portion i.e. forehead and chin of your face. For a true finished look, don’t go further than the jaw line when applying liquid foundation to the chin. When you go beyond the jaw line it means you have to blend it down the neck area. Always begin between the eyes when applying foundation to the forehead and brush upwards towards the hairline.
After applying liquid foundation on the whole face sections, than come for the finishing and fixing mistakes. Take a close look at your face and find out the spotty areas from where it can be darker or from where your foundation is lighter. If you find some errors like this, this is the time to blend it with your fingertips, as the brush still contains liquid foundation in it so now balance the liquid foundation very softly with the help of your fingertips.
